Have you ever dreamed of visiting Iceland? Can’t you wait to see the incredible Northern Lights? Are you a crazy fan of Game of Thrones. If your answer to at least one of these questions was “Yes”, then you are in the right place.

Sky Club Armenia organizes a trip to Iceland. Iceland is a huge island located in the North of Atlantic Ocean. It’s capital is Reykjavik(this is also where we are likely to land on arrival).

Iceland isn’t the most budget-friendly destination. Although, we have tried to find the cheapest ways to travel: overnight at private houses(Airbnb), hostels or camping zones, self tours and meals from supermarkets.

There are more than 20 magnificent Iceland locations we are going to visit during our 11 day self trip in Iceland: Reykjavik, Kerið, Pingvellir National Park, Gullfoss falls,  Sólheimasandur plane, Reynisfjara black sand beach, Diamond beach, Jokulsarlon glacier cave, Stokksnes, Husavik, Whale watching tour, Blue Lagoon, Lake Myvatn and Grjotagja.

These places include 3 of the filming locations of Game of Thrones – “Kissed By Fire”- Season 3, Episode 5 Romantic scene between enemies/lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte, “The Door- Season 6, Episode 5 and “Beyond the wall” – Season 7, Episode 6.

Short info about Iceland: 

Iceland is considered as one of the world’s safest countries. The currency is ISK, which is the Icelandic krona. There are many ATMs. It’s also pretty easy to pay by card so we should be able to get around without too much trouble.
